hasen in der kapitalistischen moderne

hidkm_per_05

Videoinstallation, performance at Temporäre Kunsthalle, Deutsche Guggenheim, Contemporary Fine Arts, Hamburger Bahnhof,  nogallery Berlin

“Rabbits in capitalist modernity” refers to Joseph Beuys’ action of 1965 “how do you explain the pictures to a dead hare” (Schmela Gallery, Dusseldorf). We transmit the historic setting of our period of art, which will likely go down as a “capitalist modernity” late form of an initially idealistic, revolutionary, enlightening and experimental modernism in art history.
“Rabbits in capitalist modernity” rechecks the relationship between our own artistic work and an capitalism that provides a comprehensive background and seems unassailable.
